Jack Sadecki Obituary
Jack M. Sadecki, 81, of Bristol, beloved husband of Jacqueline (Gaulin) Sadecki, died on Sunday (July 7, 2024) at The Pines at Bristol surrounded by his family. Jack was born on January 24, 1943 in New Britain and was a son of the late William and Johanna (Huck) Sadecki. He was raised in New Britain and graduated from EC Goodwin Technical High School as a carpenter. Jack was the supervisor of manufacturing for General Electric in Plainville, CT for 44 years before his retirement. Jack was devoted to and loved his family immensely and took pride in his home which was his haven. He loved his sports cars, a quality cigar, spending time in the sun, and dressing to the nines. He was a jack-of-all-trades and Mr. Fix-It. He will be missed by all who loved him and remembered in the many memories he helped create. In addition to his loving wife of 58 years, Jack is survived by three children: Michelle Zettergren, John Sadecki and his wife, Kimberly, and Nicole Walsh and her husband, Diego Quintero; two siblings: his friend
and brother, William Sadecki and his wife, Joan, and Barbara Mariotti; nine grandchildren: Matthew, Olivia, Amanda, Madisyn, Isabel, Elena, Massimo, John, and Vanessa; a sister-in-law: Francine Sadecki; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three siblings: Robert, Charles, and Janet Sadecki; and in-laws: Rose and Alfred Gaulin, and Constance (Gaulin) Balcher, with whom he had a special relationship. The family would like to thank the nurses and aides at The Pines for the care and compassion provided in Jack's final weeks. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday (July 12, 2024) at 12 Noon at St. Gregory the Great Church, 235 Maltby St., Bristol.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, 522 Terryville Ave, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, on Friday between 10 and 11:30 a.m.. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, PO Box 4777, New York, NY 10163-4777.
