John Litsinger Obituary

John Edward Raine Litsinger Jr.

EAST BERLIN

John Edward Raine Litsinger Jr., age 54, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 16, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. He was the devoted husband and best friend of Lori A. (Villella) Barrington-Litsinger.

Born in Towson, Maryland, John was the beloved son of Charlotte (Justice) Litsinger, and John Edward Raine Litsinger Sr. and Janice (Winter) Litsinger. He was also a cherished son-in-law to Carmella (Sabatino) Villella and the late Frank Villella.

John had a remarkable gift for connecting with people. With his natural charm, quick wit, and warm, welcoming spirit, he made everyone feel like an old friend. He lit up every room he walked into, leaving a lasting impression with his laughter, kindness, and sincerity. A proud Baltimorean through and through, his love for his hometownand especially his beloved Ravenswas fierce and unwavering.

Always the sharpest dresser in the room, John had a magnetic presence and an effortless confidencewhether he was attending a business meeting, formal event or smoking ribs in his backyard. His patriotism ran deep, and he took immense pride in his country.

John lived with a heart full of purpose, always putting others before himself and finding joy in

lifting those around him. He briefly served as both a firefighter (EMT) and police officerroles that perfectly reflected his selfless spirit and commitment to helping others. He dedicated years to coaching youth lacrosse, managing leagues, and eventually serving as President of the South County Youth Lacrosse League for ten years, shaping the lives of countless young athletes and creating communities that will carry on his legacy.

A true jack of all trades, John could fix anything, cook anything, and make anyone feel welcome. He found joy on the waterboating with his family and closest friendsand could often be found grilling, laughing, and blasting his favorite yacht rock tunes. His energy was infectious, his stories unforgettable, and his zest for life unmatched.

Above all, John was a family man. He loved without hesitation, gave without question, and lived with a full and generous heart. His laughter, loyalty, and light will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
