Kosta Constantine Obituary

Kosta C. "Tom" Constantine, 81, of Port Charlotte, FL and formerly of Bristol, passed away peacefully on May 19, surrounded by his loving family, after a short, but very courageous battle with cancer.
Kosta was born on Sept. 14, 1940 in Altoona, PA to the late Kosta and Joan (King) Constantine.
His parents were proprietors of the Palace of Sweets on the North Side of Bristol.
He served in the Navy (1960-64) and worked at New Departure for over 30 years before his retirement in 1994.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Leona (Sapkowski) Constantine; daughter Cheryl Constantine of Boston; son and daughter-in-law Charles and Julie Constantine of Bristol; two grandchildren, Noah and Ava Constantine of Bristol; his sister and brother-in-law Ruth and Paul DelMonte of Bristol; and his nephew Damon DelMonte; his brother-in-law Leon Sapkowski and his wife Janine of Becket, MA.
His favorite past times were spending time with family, painting, reading, watching westerns, and trips to the beach (especially Cape Cod).
He was a spiritual man who read the Bible daily, and was a parishioner at St. Gregory's and St. Raphael's in FL. Kosta was a very special man, who left a lasting impression with everyone he met throughout his life - someone you would never forget.
He had a one-of-a-kind, charismatic personality that would brighten any day, and always kept you on your toes.
