Robert Rametta Obituary

NEW BRITAIN

Robert F. "Bob" Rametta, passed on May 9, 2023, after a long struggle with a multitude of health issues. He was married to Patricia for a week shy of their 55th anniversary.

He served his country honorably in the US Army. Bob started his Banking Career in 1966, retiring in 1986 to fulfill his dream of opening his own business, LarRosa's Restaurant. Together, with his family, it became a popular icon in New Britain for 30 years. Bob served his community well, always giving back. He was most proud of his baseball coaching and took pride in his accomplishments winning several championships. He started with coaching the Dodgers in the Fagan League and later St. Ann's in the Mangan League. "A good coach can change a game, A great coach can change a life" (John Wooden). This is a perfect description of his dedication.

He was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Grace (Mirmina) Rametta as well as his brother, Albert. In addition to his wife, Pat, Bob is survived by his daughter Tammy Nolan, and her spouse, David, his son Bob, Jr. and his spouse, Carrie. Funeral services will be held Monday (May 15, 2023) at 11:00 AM at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. Entombment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery Garden Mausoleum, New Britain.

In lieu of flowers, a fund will be set up to help offset the cost of equipment for a deserving high school student who excel in his or hers beloved sport, check may be made to Patricia Rametta C/O Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Sq.
