Vincent Marotta Obituary
NEW BRITAIN
Vincenzo Marotta, 90, of New Britain, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife and children.
Born on June 14, 1935, in Saviano, Italy, to the late Carlo and Maria (Napolitano) Marotta, Vincenzo was predeceased by his sisters Carmela Nista and Filomena Santaniello, and his brothers Andre and Pasquale Marotta.
A master tailor, Vincenzo was known for his exceptional craftsmanship and timeless sense of style. He created countless custom suits and dresses for family, friends, and clients, and was always impeccably dressed himself.
Family was the center of Vincenzos life. His grandchildren were the sparkle of his eyes, and he passionately supported them in all of their events and accomplishments. He also passed down the cherished family tradition of making wine, ensuring his heritage would continue for generations to come.
Vincenzo is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Carole (Lodge) Marotta, his son Carlo (Christine), daughters Kathie and Rosie (Jackson Rivera), sisters Anna Ruscito (Joseph) and Felicia Rose Andriano, and his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Jordan Graves (Sherlyn) and their children, Justin Graves (Dariana) and their children, Joshua Graves, Tiana Dyson, and Jacob Graves (Krystal) and their daughter. He will also be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Calling hours will be held Monday, November 3, 2025, from 5-7 p.m. at Luddy & Peterson Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, New Britain. A funeral service will begin Tuesday, November 4, at 8:30 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Ann's Church, 47 Clark Street, New Britain.
