Willie Mobley Obituary

NORFOLK, VA

Willie Mobley was born January 2, 1932 in Thomasville, GA to the late Jgould Mobley and Endia Davis-Mobley. Willie got his wings on June 10, 2024 at his home in Norfolk, VA at the generous age of 92 years young.

Willie was a member of McCullough Temple Church in New Britain, CT. He moved to Virginia to live with his Daughter and Son in Law and became a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church-Berkley in Norfolk. He enjoyed playing the piano and organ at church and being a member of the choirs, watching sports on TV, attending the Horace Downing Senior Center in Norfolk (Berkley) and above all he loved going out to eat and hanging out with his children.

On November 29, 1952, Willie was married to Laverta Martin. Together they raised their family in New Britain, CT.

Willie leaves behind a Sister, Zula Mae Willis of Pittsburgh PA. He is predeceased by Laverta Mobley, former wife, Son, Michael Mobley, Grandson, Tyrese Mobley, Son in Law Lee Harden and Daughter in Law Vickie Mobley.

To cherish the precious memories of Willie Mobley, he leaves his Daughters, Pamela Mobley-Simmons (Joe), Norfolk, VA, Barbra Daniel (Howard), Rockville, CT, Beverly Mobley (Bob), Chesapeake, VA, and Roxanne Harden (Frank) Virginia Beach, VA.

Sons, Dennis Mobley, Windsor CT, and David Mobley (Angie) Bowling Green, KY, a host of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Great Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews, other relatives, friends and fur babies.
