Kathleen Wingfield

1947 - 2018

Kathleen "Kathy" Ann Wingfield, of Westminster, passed away on October 27, 2018. She was 71 years old. Kathy was born in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, on February 17, 1947, to Victor and Rita (Willot) Bohacek. She grew up in Manitowoc, and graduated from Silver Lake College. In 1966 she met her future husband, Bill. The following year they were married on September 16, 1967. They had two sons, Michael and Jeffrey. They moved to Broomfield, Colorado in 1976. During the late '70's and early '80's, Kathy worked at Broomfield Ace Hardware where she got to meet and know many people from her community. She then went to work at Rocky Flats until the mid '90's. Kathy finished out her working years at Novartis Pharmaceuticals in Broomfield, retiring in 2012. In her spare time, Kathy volunteered at the Broomfield Senior Center. She was very involved with the Family In Christ Church, where she served as a deacon and lead usher and greeter. Kathy also enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events. Her spirit was one that was kind, caring and giving. Kathy's family and friends were blessed to have had her in their lives. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Rita, and her sister, Mary Lippert. She is survived by her husband William "Bill" Wingfield; son, Michael and his wife Michaline and their children, Megan, Laura, and Jonathon Wingfield; son, Jeffrey and his wife Debi and their children, Kendall, Christopher, and Colby Wingfield; brother, Thomas Bohacek; and sister, Sue Resch.
