Daniel Conejo Obituary
Daniel Flores Conejo, age 77, entered into eternal rest on Sunday July 2, 2023. He was a devoted family man, which was made evident in his love for his wife, sons, and their families. He was known for his welcoming nature and his ability to easily make friends. Daniel honorably served in the Army National Guard of Texas from 1963 to 1969 as a Truck Master and earned a marksman badge with rifle bar. During his enlistment, he married his wife Palmira (Pam). After his time in the military, he started an air conditioning and plumbing business in Baytown, Texas, which grew to a considerable size and influence within the community because of his dedication to his craft. He was nominated for Hispanic Businessman of The Year by the Baytown Chamber of Commerce. His success in business allowed him to retire to his ranch in Burnet, then Los Fresnos, Texas. Daniel actively served within his local Catholic parishes. He took great pride in being a member of the Knights of Columbus, and reached the level of fourth degree.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Jose Cruz Conejo and Inocencia Flores Conejo; his siblings Santiago, Antonio, Joaquin Conejo and Delfino Cornejo.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Palmira (Pam) Conejo and children Daniel Conejo Jr. (Deborah), Adrian Conejo (Maricela), and Gabriel Conejo(Heather); his grandchildren Rebecca, Christian, David, Allison, Adam, Michael and Morgan Conejo; his siblings Sara C. Torres, Carmen C. Garcia, Leopoldo Conejo, Ismael Cornejo and all his nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Christian, David, Adam, Michael and Morgan Conejo and Delfino Cornejo Jr.
A visitation for Daniel will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista & Buena Vista Burial Park, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A mass will occur Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Our Heavenly Father Catholic Church, 9178 Tomas Cortez Jr St, Olmito, Texas 78575. A burial will occur Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Road, Brownsville, Texas 78526.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 McDavitt Blvd., Brownsville, Tx., 956-541-5400, Dignity Memorial Provider.
