It would have been hard to find a friendlier or more kind person and fellow classmate at Scarsdale High School. How fortunate to have known Don during that time. My heartfelt condolences to his family.

Don and I were summer next door neighbors on the shores of Great Pond, Belgrade Lakes,ME. We probably met as babies. Don spent the entire summer on this waterfront paradise, while I only enjoyed my father´s two week summer vacation. One week we learned to slalom water ski with his aluminum skiff and 7.5 hp outboard, then on the weekend his dad tested us with his large ski boat. One week my father left us with a small 10´ ft sailboat & an instruction book, and returned to find some white-cap sailor intusiasts. Don´s Special talent was to enthusiastically embrace an activity and draw everyone involvement. Good times. Good memories.

I hadn't seen Donnie in years but my memories spen nearly 70 years. From football to sharing stories of dating - from skateboard to waterskiing - from driving to Maine together in the summer to playing in a rock and roll band. (The Offbeats) His smile and enthusiasm will be with me forever. GVRAPP
