Elizabeth Everson Obituary
Betty was deeply involved with the First Presbyterian Church of Brownsville from being the Director of Christian Education to visiting shut-ins.
She served as the President of Pan American Round Table and also the President of PEO Sisterhood Chapter BU.
A school teacher for many years, Betty firmly believed that a good education led to a better life.
She was a wife, mother, and friend whose love was deeply felt by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Donald Everson and their son, Eric Everson.
Betty is remembered by her loving family including her daughters Cynthia Everson (Robert Grazer) and Nancy Hodgson (Larry).
Also celebrating her life are her grandchildren Katherine Grazer, Jonathan Grazer, Michelle Hodgson Daniels (Robert) and Jeffrey Hodgson (Maria Fernanda Caso Hodgson) and her great-grandchildren Weston Daniels, Evelyn Daniels, and Marco Caso Hodgson.
Our family would like to thank Janie Mata who lovingly cared for Betty for 11 years. Maria Lightcap, Silvia Davila , and Genesis Medina also showed much love as they cared for her during the last few years.
Betty's final days were spent at Sunshine Haven where she was able to rest peacefully and spend time with family members.
A celebration of life will be held December 7th at 10:30am at First Presbyterian Church, followed by a reception in The Fellowship Hall.
The family will hold a private burial.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the First Presbyterian Church or Sunshine Haven.
