Kirk always made me feel I was one of his most special friends. And it was true because everyone was a most special friend to Kirk. I will miss you so much, my special friend. You truly have given us all a model and a reason for living. The blessing of your friendship is eternal. Thanks to your family for sharing you with us all these years.

I read the valley´s article on Kirk. Charles Clark Chevrolet was & still is an amazing place. Some good people worked there back then. From Oscar Lozano Bobby Valadez Al Canales Gene Kayser Gordon Rush Dave Odom & Charles Clark the man. I remember Kirk saying my dad wants me to be a better listener. The valley lost a very special person, Kirk.

I'll always cherish my memories of Mr. Clark during my time working with the Valley Symphony Orchestra. His love of music and the ability to translate his belief in the spirit of each piece through only Kirk's eyes...was amazing to hear. He had the rare ability to "see the music through colors" as I heard him describe it one time while I interviewed him for one of his many generous sponsorships to the VSO. He was such as a kind, loving and generous soul...the RGV was lucky to have him. He was indeed, a rare gem...one in which will be remembered for many years to come and I'm happy and honored to have known such a wonderful human being. Rest in peace Mr. Clark and may the Lord's perpetual light shine upon you always. Amen.

You were such a unique and genuine person and a dear friend. You always took the time chat with me and/or my husband about art, life, etc. We will especially miss your infectious laugh and reading the books you loaned us. Deepest condolences to your family. Rest in heaven Kirk.

This beautifully written tribute pays homage to a wonderful man and an admirable human being. Kirk Clark represented the values of his parents. After they left us, he encouraged participation in the arts in the Rio Grande Valley. The legacy of the Clark family to the fine arts is well-known. Happy Trails, my friend, until we all meet again. The circle will not be broken.

My most heartfelt condolences to Kirk's wife Jeri and his family. I had the privilege of being one of his many friends. Kirk epitomized the two most important commandments given to us by Jesus Christ to " Love God with all of your heart , your mind and your soul" and "Love your Neighbor as yourself." He will be missed by all of us. Rest in peace my friend.

To the Clark family, my prayers are with you in your time of need. I fondly remember Mr. Clark when I was working on off-duty security assignment at a local Whataburger. This was over two decades ago. It was a cold night and I had forgotten my jacket. Without hesitation, he took off his jacket and offered it to me. His words "it's yours". I declined but this said a lot about the man. He was willing to literally give "the shirt of his back" to a stranger. His compassion showed. Mr. Clark, Rest In Peace.

Darrell and I bought several cars from Kirk when we lived in the valley. Kirk had a way of just making you feel good, with a smile or a laugh. His personality was delightful. Our sincere condolences during this time. I look at the picture of him posted and it´s exactly how I remember him. Happy.
