Norma Walker Obituary
She was born in Odum, Ga., and lived most of her life in Richmond Hill.
She was a charter member of Bethel Baptist Church.
She enjoyed traveling, especially with her family. More than anything, she loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A.M. Walker Jr.; and son-in-law, Dennis Burnsed.
She is survived by her children, Bettie Walker Folds (Don), Ricky Walker (Staci), Velinda Burnsed, Rodger Walker (Pam), Jean Walker Rhinehart (Dan) and Jan Walker Lee (Mitch); 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, sister, Nell Ormandy (Bob); and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Bethel Baptist Church, 40 White Oak Lane, Richmond Hill, GA 31324.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
Burial will immediately follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to the Bethel Baptist Church Building Fund.
Carter Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Norma Walker WAS Bethel Baptist Church!! She was so warm and inviting ( I used to be a member)
I prayer that God will comfort each of you siblings , for I am sure their is a HUGE hole!!!
Your Mama was such an amazing lady! She raised her children to love Jesus and I'm sure the grandchildren will miss her dearly.
I know that she taught the grandbabies all about the love of God as well.
May God comfort you all in a way that only He can do!
