William Knepper Obituary

William Edward Knepper, 79 of Camden, Michigan, passed away on Monday, Jan. 27, 2025 at his home. He was born on Oct. 4, 1945 in Bryan to Donald and Maxine (Brown) Knepper. Bill graduated from North Central High School and on Oct. 5, 1964 he married the love of his life, Carol Kohli in Fayette and she survives.

Throughout his working career, Bill was a welder/fabricator with Challenge Cook Brothers, Hutch's Towing and Recovery Services, Stone Co Gravel Company and several other gravel quarries. Once retired, he continued to fabricate and weld, fixing farm equipment for local farmers and friends.

Bill is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carol Knepper; four sons, Tony (Charlie) Knepper of Waldron, Michigan, Paul (Deb) Knepper of Montpelier, Danny (Sandy) Knepper of Waldron, Michigan and Kevin (Mona Lisa) Knepper of Camden, Michigan; seven grandchildren, Jesse, Abbe, Nathan, Adam, Lily, Kimmy and Noah; three great-grandchildren, Izzy, Aubree and Isaiah; and siblings, Donnie Knepper of Lima and Peggy (Charlie) Marshall of Morenci, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; great-granddaughter, Amilynn; two sisters, Mary Diane and Marjorie; and brother, Arthur "Butch" Knepper.

The family will celebrate Bill's life in a private service at a later date. Those wishing to express their condolences to the family may do so at www.thethompsonfuneralhome.com.
