Eugene Parker Obituary
Langhorne - Eugene Parker Sr., 73, of Langhorne, PA, departed this life on January 1, 2021 in Holland, PA.
Born in Fredericksburg, VA, Eugene received his early education in Stafford County, VA. After graduating from high school, he earned a B.S. in Business Education from Saint Paul's College in Lawrenceville, VA, an M.Ed from North Carolina State University, and a M.A. in Business from Central Michigan University.
Eugene had a standout professional resume. He worked as an industrial engineer for Burlington Industries, General Motors, and Johnson & Johnson.
As a US Army veteran, Eugene served with distinction and honor in the Vietnam War. He earned many honors, including the Bronze Star.
As a devoted member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Trenton, Eugene served as Chairman of the Trustee Board and as a member of the Men's Choir and Strategic Planning Committee.
Always dedicated to his community, Eugene was the co-founder of Men of Purpose, an instructor with Granville Academy, and a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
Eugene was predeceased by his father, Harry Lee Parker; mother, Virginia Pearl Parker; sisters, Lucy Belle Parker Douglas and Betty Ann Parker; and brothers, Robert James Parker, Richard Lee Parker, and Harry Truman Parker.
He leaves to mourn his loss his wife of 50 years, Phyllis Parker; two sons, Eugene Parker Jr. (Angelia) and Patrick Parker; daughter, Tashia Parker Tucker (Michael); brother, John Parker (Frances); sister, Geraldine Pepper (Jerome); brothers-in-law, Lawrence Douglas; Marty Hepburn (Cheryl), Spencer Hepburn Jr. (Clara); sisters-in-law, Linda Parker, Enid Lindsay, Carolyn White (James); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, church family, neighbors and colleagues.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 2 pm at Campbell Funeral Chapel, 1225 Calhoun St., Trenton, NJ 08638. www.campbellfc.com
Calling Hour: Friday, 1 to 2 pm at the chapel.
Interment will be Monday, 1/11/2021 at 9:30 am at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shiloh Baptist Church Scholarship Fund.

Mr. Parker was our beloved next door neighbor for over 16 years. He and Mrs. Parker were first to befriend us and were always there to help out. Great memories of him playing basketball in our driveway with my kids. When tragedy and loss hit my family, the Parker’s gave us prayers and support. My sympathy and prayers are with Phyllis and their children. We’ll never forget Mr. Parker!
