Judy, Doug, Julie, Dereck and all,
I am very sorry that your husband/father/grandfather is gone. I loved his booming voice. How he commanded authority . :-) I too felt safer when Mac was Chief. The memories of growing up in "the hood" as your neighbor are some of my fondest. I have always felt close to all of you. Be comforted by so many people who care and all of your memories of him.
God bless,
Vicky

I remember Mac mostly as being my dad's boss as chief of police in the 70's and being such a big presence at the department. He was a great man and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. My thoughts are with his family during this time...
