Connie Dyer Obituary
BUCYRUS: Connie Sue Dyer, 69, of Bucyrus passed away on Friday, October 16, 2015 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus following a brief illness.
Connie was born September 1, 1946 in Bucyrus to the late Robert Charles and Esther Arlene (Ulmer) Oberlander. She was married August 27, 2006 to long time friend of 33 years Hubert F. Dyer. He preceded her in death on June 30, 2009.
Connie is survived by daughter, Kathleen (Brian) Knecht, Bucyrus; grandchildren, Michele and Jason Knecht; great grandchild, Layke; brother, Gary Lee (Vance) Oberlander, Norfolk, VA; sisters, Beverly Ann Ruehle, Bucyrus, Mary Lou (Bill) DeJonge of Delaware; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Connie lived her entire life in Bucyrus and graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1964. She worked at United Telephone Co, Swan Rubber, and last for area nursing homes. Connie was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday at 11:00 am in the Union Cemetery, Sulphur Springs with Rev. Mike Greenler officiating.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Crawford County Humane Society or the Council on Aging through the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
