Daniel David Myers

MEDWAY: Daniel David Myers, 63, of Medway, Ohio passed away after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his loving family & friends on February 11, 2012.

Dan was born April 29, 1948 in Bucyrus, Ohio the son of Harold Myers & Evelyn Kieffer. He graduated from Bucyrus High school in 1966, Otterbein College and Georgia Tech, proudly served in the U.S. Army and was employed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base for 33 years. Dan was active in his community as a coach, voice of the Lady Arrows, member of the Medway Lions, Order of DeMolay and the Honey Creek Presbyterian church choir and New Carlisle community chorus.

He was proceeded in death by his father.

His greatest love, his family consists of his beautiful wife, Debbie; his sons, Chadd (Lisa), Jason (Jennifer) Cullin and his daughters, Meagan (Brian Dixon), Marley (Mike Hatton), Mirriah (Dr. Trapper Phillips); eight grandchildren, Erika, Jeremy, Isabella, Layla, Brycen and Brenden, Cole Michael and Logan with two grandchildren and one great grandchild on the way; his beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; and his sister, Donna (Jim Lust) of Crestline, Ohio and his brother, Marcus (Robin) Myers of Bucyrus.

Daniel was an organ donor.

Memorial may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, the National Urban League of Dayton or the Tecumseh Athletic Boosters.

Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Thursday, February 16, 2012 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Honey Creek Presbyterian Church, 212 W. Jefferson St., New Carlisle, Ohio 45344. Burial will be in Medway Cemetery.

I want extend heartfelt thoughts to the entire family for your loss. Dan most surely will be really missed by you all. I only wish that I would have known of his illness. It has been way too many years since we visited together.
Dan & I go back to high school and college years. Wow, did we have some great times together. Dan did enjoy life as no other! I'm sure that he carried that love of life to heaven with him!

No words can express how deeply sadden we all are at the passing of your husband. We have prayed together, cried together since this all began.
