CHATFIELD: Gary E. Green, 57, of rural Chatfield passed away early Wednesday at James Cancer Hospital in Columbus following a 6 year battle with Multiple Myeloma. I remember Gary for his strong character. He was on the school board most of the 10 years that I taught at Buckeye Central. I will always remember how happy he was for me when I quit to stay home to be a full time mom of my two little boys. It really impacted me that he so strongly supported that decision. I also remember his deep devotion to BC and how he was such a part of the new school being built. When I saw him this Spring at the BC musical he was as friendly as ever. I could tell he felt bad and I hadn't seen him for several years but he was still so warm and kind. We have lost a friend but he is now with God in all his glory. Praise the Lord!

I just found out today. Something told me to look at the obituaties, I had a gut feeling. I am so happy for Gary now that he gets to meet Jesus face to face! Sadly, that means he is leaving the rest of you behind. You are an amazing family and Gary is such an inspiration. We should all strive to follow in his footsteps.
