Hope was born May 15, 1921, the eldest daughter of Austin C. and Ruth Scherer Yaussy in Bucyrus, OH. She graduated from North Robinson High School in 1939 and was married to Frederick Schieber December 14, 1941. She passed away peacefully in Louisville, KY March 3, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home. She was proceeded in death by her parents and two sisters, Naomi Eppley and Faith Eppley. She is survived by two brothers, Donald Yaussy of Lakeside, OH and Richard Yaussy and his wife Erma of Newton, NC. She is also survived by two sons, David and his wife Judy of Louisville, KY and Terry and his wife Lynn of Houston, TX. She has 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was a member of Epworth Methodist Church prior to relocating to Columbus, OH in 1965. Hope and Fred retired in Westerville, OH. She moved to an independent living facility in Louisville, KY in 2007 and David looked after her there. She will always be remembered for her quick wit and her warm personality.

Hope donated her body to the University of Louisville Medical School so there will be no funeral. A celebration of life will be held March 10 at SE Christian Church in Louisville. She will ultimately be laid to rest next to her husband in Oakwood Cemetery in Bucyrus.
