Larry J. Zellner

Galion: Larry J. Zellner, 70, of Galion, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Galion Community Hospital surrounded by his family.

Larry was born in Bucyrus, on December 4, 1946 to the late Daryl J. Zellner and Delpha H. (Ward) Christensen. He married Debra S. (Swisher) Zellner on April 8, 1995 and she survives him.

He was a 1965 graduate of Wynford High School. Larry's working career started at Timken, Bucyrus. For the next 20 plus years he pursued his passion of car sales in Marion and Bucyrus. He was a business partner at Crawford Auto Sales, Bucyrus. Larry retired from Whirlpool, Marion, after 11 years of service. Larry served in the Army National Guard for six years and was a member of the Bucyrus Masonic Lodge #139, Bucyrus. He loved attending car auctions, estate auctions and garage sales where he enjoyed finding treasures. He shared his love of camping with his friends and family. He was a fan of the Cleveland Indians and Ohio State Buckeyes and enjoyed watching his grandchildren's activities.

He is also survived by his daughters, Melissa and David Charles, Mt. Gilead, Kerri and Travis Koschnick, Galion, Andrea and Jack Cramer, Galion, Jessica and Matt Moore, Fredericktown; his grandchildren, Brennon McWaters, Mackenzie McWaters, Ava Charles, Caleb Koschnick, Caitlin Koschnick, Paul Cramer, Andi Cramer, Celia Cramer, Eli Cramer, and Meredith Moore; his sisters, Sandra Lyons, Bucyrus, Cheryl and Lonnie Sipe, Bucyrus; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda and Tom Cahill, Galion; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Glen Lyons and a nephew, Wesley Lyons.

Friends may call on Friday, October 13, 2017 from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM at the First United Church of Christ, 248 Harding Way W., Galion where Masonic Services will be held at 7:30 PM. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the First United Church of Christ, Galion, with Pastor Darrin Harvey and Larry Nigh officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Galion. Military honors will be conducted by the Galion/Crestline Military Funeral Detail.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Crawford County Relay For Life in care of the funeral home.
