Ralph Schifer Obituary
BUCYRUS - Ed Schifer, 62 of Bucyrus passed away on Friday evening January 4, 2019. Ed was born November 15, 1956 in Bucyrus to Ralph and Norma (Gearhart) Schifer who survive. He was married May 18, 2013 to Vanessa (Dummitt) Schifer who preceded him in death August 16, 2017. He was also preceded in death by brothers Randy and Andy.
In addition to Ed's parents, he is survived by son Joseph of Marion; daughters Missi (Steve) Hinkle of Bucyrus and Tori Fultz of Galion; step daughters Rachel (Cory) Welch and Megan Rene (Ryan) Miller; grandchildren Makinzey, Domenick (Caitlyn), Dakota, Cassandra, Arledia, Rayn, Alexis, Ben, Hayleigh, and Blaine; two great grandchild; brother Ricki (Angela) Schifer of Bucyrus; sisters Rebecca Eickholt, W. Virginia; Teresa (Randy) Smith and Julie (Brad) Powers both of Bucyrus; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Ed owned and operated his Print Shop on Mary St. for 35 years. More recently he operated DigiPrint T-Shirt Shop at 109 N. Sandusky Ave. Ed lived his entire life in Bucyrus and graduated from Wynford H.S. in 1975. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, shooting, and hunting, as well as his motorcycle, working at design on his computer, and helping others.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Don Kelley officiating and burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1-3 and 5-7 pm. Memorial contributions can be made through the funeral home and expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
