It's funny but I had a strange dream recently that seemed to occur in Central Square, and I remember thinking in the dream about Ade. I decided to look him up and discovered his passing. He used to vacation with my family in Canada during the late 60's, early 70's, and was an invaluable help to my mother when my dad, Art, passed away suddenly in '73. He even gave me my first paying job at Nu-Mart. We lost touch with Ade and Ginny after a while but I will always remember him and the help he provided my family in our time of need. He will be missed.

Ade was one of the finest people we have known. He helped us with problems on the farm both big and small. He also carried high quality merchandise at Nu-Mart as the wood stove we bought from him in 1979 is still doing it's job.He also had great insight when Don would talk with him about different issues in Oswego. He will be missed.our condolences to Ginny and Gretchen

Amazing that I recently shared this story with my son Ben because he just started his first job a couple months ago! Ade was the salt of this earth, like my son's namesake/Grandpa! "Ben, some morning in the summer of 1987, my Dad dropped me off at Nu-Mart in West Monroe on Route 49. It was a hardware grocery store just before you get to Greenview golf course on the right coming from the house in Constantia. I had no idea at the time what the heck was going on when I got into Grandpa's car or where we were going. He pulled over and said, "OK, you're up! Go inside and ask for Ade. I'll pick you up at 5." One of his best friends and golfing buddies, Mr. Ade Niedz, owned the store. That was my first day working. Was I scared? Yup! But this gentle giant with huge hands shook my hand..and in turn taught me how to shake ones hand! Strong, firm and confident! Grandpa loved this man..They are now playing a great golf course for .50¢/hole.
