Beloved husband of Paula (Pascuzzi) Kranitz; loving father of Rachel (Sean) Kranitz McPhee and Adam (Rachel Root) Kranitz; brother of the late Marvin Kranitz; devoted grandfather of Lily and Madeline Kranitz; uncle of Jerry, Jacqueline and Barbara. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday 1:30 PM at Congregation Shir Shalom, 4660 Sheridan Dr., Williamsville, NY 14221. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice Foundation of WNY or The Buffalo Jewish Federation. Shiva is Wednesday & Thursday 6-8PM at Paula's residence, prayers each evening at 7PM. I had the distinct pleasure of working with Alan on his last car purchase; Alan was unlike any customer before and there won't be another like him. I'm going to miss seeing him stopping by for service or a question, may he Rest in Peace. Deepest condolences to Paula and family.

For a couple of years when I worked at the Permanent Savings Bank, I used to have coffee in the morning with Alan at the Around the Clock restaurant. He was one of the most intelligent and interesting guys I have ever met. I am sure he will be deeply missed by all that knew him. RIP Alan.
