Allen HOOPENGARNER Obituary
67, passed away on January 26, 2023. Beloved husband of Virginia (nee Norman); cherished father of the late Michael Hoopengarner, Dupe (David) Daniels and Yemi (Rachael) Arowolo; loving grandfather of Esá; Brother of Richard D., Ginnie Lyn Gonzalez, Pamela Sue and Daniel P. Hoopengarner. Loving son of the late Allen A. and June (nee Schultz) Hoopengarner. After more than 34 years of dedicated service, where he served as a Taxpayer Service Specialist and president of the National Treasure Employees Union (NTEU - Chapter 58), he retired from the Internal Revenue Service. Allen was an avid gardener, bowler, and craftsman. In his spare time he enjoyed nothing more than tending to the home and life that he and his wife Virginia created. Whether you knew him as Allen, Butch, Hoop, or dad, he will be remembered. Allens wake will be held on Saturday, February 4th at 10 AM followed by a funeral at 11 AM at BRIAN K. I would just like to express my Condolences to the Hoopengarner family. You already know how much Hoop means to me and the ENTIRE REED FAMILY. He was a Big Brother, Mentor, Best Friend and all around Great Person. Now he'd be the first one to say that he wasn't perfect. However He was Perfect for Us. REJOICE-IN-PARADISE. WE LOVE YOU..
