Age 89, entered into rest on Thursday, September 26, 2024 while surrounded by her family in her home in Amherst, NY. She was the beloved mother of Carole Linneborn, Thomas Helmicki, Jr. (Carolyn), and Sharon (Brian) Bezak; grandmother of David (Tracey), Daniel (Kaitlin), Brittanie (Brenden), Thomas III and Evan; great-grandmother of Jacob, Logan and Stella; loving daughter of the late Woodrow and Marie (nee Theurer) Markwardt; dear sister of Woodrow (Sandra) Markwardt and Richard (Kathren) Markwardt; also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Relatives and friends may visit Lombardo Funeral Home (Northtowns Chapel), 885 Niagara Falls Blvd. near Eggert/Sheridan Dr. on Tuesday, October 1 from 3 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 885 Sweet Home Rd., Amherst on Wednesday morning at 9:00am (please assemble at church). Flowers gratefully declined. If desired, contributions may be made in Arline's memory to St. Leo the Great Church or Hospice Buffalo. Condolences may be made at www.lombardofuneralhome.com.

Oh Arline! She was the nicest, sweetest woman! Always the friendliest face at St. Aloysius Bingo and at all our fundraisers and events. She will be truly missed by so many of us. May you rest in the eternal Peace of Christ dear lady!
