Audrey MONROE Obituary
March 10, 2022, of Cheektowaga, NY. Beloved wife of the late Donald E. Monroe; dearest mother of David (Patricia) Monroe, Donna (Edward) Buchwald, Daniel (Cathy) Monroe, Debra (Richard) Greenauer, late Douglas and Donald Monroe; cherished grandmother of Joshua (Teressa) and Frank (Abby) Monroe, Michael and Nicole Buchwald, Barbara Greenauer and Michael and Jennifer Monroe; grandmother of six great- grandchildren; devoted sister of the late Joseph (late Thelma) and the late Donald (Martha) Hamann; dear sister-in-law of Elsie (late Alton) Foster and Janet (late William) Lawson; also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Audrey was a lifetime member of the Bellevue Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and an active parishioner at St. Luke's Lutheran Church. The family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 4-8 PM at the DANIEL R. SMOLAREK FUNERAL HOME, 2510 Union Rd., Cheektowaga (two blocks south of William St.). A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11 AM in St. Luke Lutheran Church, 900 Maryvale Dr., Cheektowaga. Please assemble at church. Interment in Ridge Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Audrey's name to St. Luke's Lutheran Church or the Alzheimer's Foundation. Condolences online at www.SmolarekCares.com
