Barbara Bronkie Obituary

Beloved companion of Warren Richard for the past 24 years. Wife of the Late Robert S. Kinkel & Robert T. Bronkie. She is survived by Warren, his children: Lee Anne, Carol, Gregg, Nancy, Tom, Jeff and their families; Her son Robert S. Kinkel Jr, Stepsons: Henry & Robert Bronkie, Stepdaughters: Mrya Lenz, Donna Bronkie, & Gina Hammon, Grandchildren: Oliver & Gretchen Kinkel and Scott & Kevin Bronkie, and Nephew "2nd Son" John Kinkel. Barbara graduated from NY State Teachers College at Buffalo in 1952 with a degree in Home Economics. She was an educator for 36 years, the last 28 as a Kindergarten teacher at Maple Elementary. Barbara received citations from the US Senate and NY State Assembly for her outstanding work. Barbara also served as the president of the Buffalo Curling Club; she was on the board for the Buffalo Zoo; and the treasurer of the Williamsville Retired Teacher Association for over 30 years. A Visitation will be held on Friday May 31, 2024 from 3-7pm at The Dietrich Funeral Home, Inc., 2480 Kensington Ave., Amherst, NY. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday June 1, 2024 at 11am at Calvary Episcopal Church, 20 Milton St, Williamsville, NY. Please assemble at church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Buffalo Zoo or Buffalo Hospice. Online condolences may be made at www.TheDietrichFuneralHome.com
