I feel blessed to know Barb. We worked together at Mercy Hospital and quickly became friends. One of our physician colleagues asked me one day "Is there anything you don't like about Barb?" The only thing I could come up with was "Only that she looks younger than me!". She truly touched so many of our lives. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends during their time of loss.

Dear Bob, Ashley and Jennifer:
Losing someone so close to us is difficult to bear. I know because it makes things appear so meaningless and life so unfair. As time passes your loss will get easier, and cherished memories help to keep Barbara close to you. Tell yourself she's in a better place and pain free. She is watching over all of you. My deepest sympathy.

I knew Barb from our OLV days and remember when she began as a Unit Clerk. At that time she was "Radar" to all of us. She had a great sense of humor a soft smile and an infectious laugh that helped during those often tense moments that can occur in our profession. She cared deeply for her craft and was among those who not only knew the science of nursing but could practice the art of nursing as well. I was honored to have known her and I am sorry for your loss.

I can not imagine a better role model for me. Who would have thought a secretary with a Business degree would choose Nursing. Barb was an inspiration. She showed compassion to all her patients. She was a credit to our profession and a true friend to me and many more. Anyone who knew her, knows they were blessed. She shared her laughter and humor with us all. My heart goes out to you, her family she cherished you all so much.
