What an amazing teacher. I miss playing dodgeball with you. You can throw a mean ball. Behind that strict teacher your heart was full of gold. Thank you for all you did for the Thomas Jefferson students. Good Bless

My deepest condolences to Ms. Samer entire family. Ms. Samer along with Ms. Madigan, were my 5th grade teachers at Thomas Jefferson and I loved being in her class. I always had an appreciation for her as she always made sure we pushed ourselves, even at a young age, to be the best we can be. I remember her having an eye for color during our paper maché project, and always smelling like Liz Claiborne. She said she loved that perfume. My deepest sympathies.Rest peacefully.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Ms. Samer. She was my 4/5 teacher at Thomas Jefferson. I loved being in her class and will never forget the class trips we went on to Albany and Washington DC.

Miss Samer was my third grade teacher the first year she taught (Thomas Jefferson Elementary School). She was my favorite teacher and, in all due modesty, I think I was one of her favorite pupils. At the end of the year a group of us helped her move classrooms and she took us out to dinner. We ordered chicken in a basket; the restaurant served little dishes of water with a lemon to clean our fingers. I drank mine and everyone laughed....except Miss Samer who drank hers as well and explained that lemon water was very healthy.
