I, Marie Maurer, am the daughter of John Maurer, who died in 1985 at 89 years old, who was Aunt Bertie's brother. he was the oldest of the 10 children of Gramma Maurer.

We had the pleasure of meeting Aunt Bertie in 1996 when we traveled to Buffalo with my Dad (Ed Maurer) and got the chance to meet several members of the family at a picnic. She was such a fun loving person and so full of energy. We really enjoyed our visit. So sorry for your loss.

Aunt Bertie was the last surviving descendant of my Grandmother Maurer who had 10 children. She was also a twin. We all loved her. She was a feisty and wonderful woman.
