Of Boston, NY, entered into rest on October 16, 2024. Beloved husband of Anne (nee Fox) Downey; devoted father of Jacqueline and Wesley Downey; cherished grandfather; loving son of William R. and the late Dorothy M. Downey; dear brother of Colleen (Leon) Kibler, Mark (Michalene) Downey, and Maureen (Kent) Stockdale. Also survived by relatives and friends. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel) near Lake Ave., on Thursday (Oct 24) from 4-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Bernadette's RC Church, 5930 S. Abbott Rd., Friday morning at 9:30 AM. Private interment at St. John's Cemetery. Arrangements by Lombardo Funeral Home. Memorial contributions in Brian's name may be made to the WNY Scout Council – Boy Scouts of America, 2860 – Genesee St., Buffalo, NY 14225. What a shock. I just learned of Brian's passing. He was a skilled and dedicated and a trustworthy colleague. He and Ann have been devout and outspoken Christians for many years. He will be greatly missed by clients, colleagues, and fellow believers.
