FISH - Carol (nee Nagle)
Sadly, our dear mother, Carol Nagle Fish, passed away on September 12, 2022, at the age of 92. Born in Buffalo on October 8, 1929, Carol was raised in the Bailey-Kensington neighborhood. In 7th grade, while attending PS 80, she was the Buffalo City Spelling Bee Champion. Carol's contribution during WWII was as a Civil Air Patrol Cadet, and she collected donations for war drives. In 1946, Carol graduated with honors from Kensington High School. She was an elite swimmer, an accomplished violinist, and had a beautiful singing voice. Carol earned her Bachelor of Arts at Millard Fillmore College in 1980. After college, Carol worked in retail, including AM&A's. Throughout her life, Carol was an avid reader, loved to sew and crochet, research family history, and listen to a wide variety of music - from Classical to Queen. Her greatest joy was spending time with family. Carol is survived by her six children, Kathryn A. Milks, Earl L. - now Xanadu (Margaret) Fish, Susan E. (late Stephen) Cicchinelli, Reva M. Fish, James R. (Laura) Fish, Ann Marie V. (David) Gerbracht, and by son-in-law Richard D Milks. She is also survived by her 13 beloved grandchildren, Elizabeth (Christopher) Bordeleau, Jennifer (Aaron) Cerny, Marlean Fish, Tabatha Fish, Paul Cicchinelli, Clare Cicchinelli, Kathryn O'Leary, James O'Leary, Robert O'Leary, Mary Fish, Eleanor Fish, Sarah Gerbracht, and Gerald Gerbracht. Additionally, Carol is survived by 19 great-grandchildren. Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Fish; her parents, Roy W. Nagle and Mabel E Wilkins; and her brothers, David R. Nagle and Donald G. Nagle. Carol was laid to rest on October 8th at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo. Carol will be greatly missed, but not forgotten. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests reflecting Carol's lifelong commitment to caring for animals by donating to one of her favorite charities, the Erie County SPCA.
