VANKOUGHNET - Carol
(nee Schroeder)
Age 84 of the City of Tonawanda, November 11, 2019 at her residence under the care of Hospice. Wife of the late Durland VanKoughnet who died in 1983; mother of Cathleen VanKoughnet, Dawn (Wayne Schmitt) Steins and Laura (Duane) Hawkins; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister of the late Harvey Schroeder, Jr. and the late Janet Rogowski; also survived by nieces and nephews. Carol had been employed as a Custodian for the City of Tonawanda Schools for 30 years. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 17th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at JOHN 0. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts.) in Tonawanda, where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 11 AM on Monday, November 18th. Everyone welcome. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are preferred to Hospice Buffalo, Inc., 225 Como Park Blvd., Cheektowaga, NY 14227. Condolences may be shared online at
