Dear Bob and family,
As it always will, hearing of Carole's passing came as a shock and with its own sadness. Carole was a favorite classmate and as the many years rolled on I so appreciated her values and her willingness to speak out, all in hopes of supporting a better world. I will miss her; we all will miss her, and I hope your family's sadness and pain will evolve to savored memories in due course. Nellie and I send our condolences, thoughts, and prayers.
Sincerely,
Tom Coakley

Carole has been strong on my mind for the past week or more. Now I know why. She has held a special place in my heart since we met at Cortland.
She has gone home. I know she is at peace and is enjoying many happy reunions. My heart goes out to Bob and all her family and friends.
