Ret. Cpt. USCG. Passed away at the age of 88. Beloved husband of Dianne (nee Gajewski) Mania. Loving father of David, Daniel J. (Jennifer) and Donald (Eva) Mania. Loving papa of Alyssa, Ethan, Olivia, Henry, Sylvia, Dylan and Devin. Loving brother of the late Joseph (late Geraldine) Mania. Also survived by many relatives and friends. Daniel led a distinguished 28 year career in the U.S. Coast Guard receiving numerous medals and citations. He also served in the Vietnam War. No prior visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial with military honors will be celebrated on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 9:30am at Christ The King Church, 30 Lamarck Dr., Amherst, NY 14226. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to The Alzheimer's Association of WNY. Online condolences may be made at www.TheDietrichFuneralHome.com.

Dan the man ! That´s what we called him , Dan just wasn´t a friend he was family I used to talk to him about a lot of things and he was always so nice and sweet ! Thank Mr . Mania for all you have done ! I appreciate the laughs, the talks , the hugs ! Praying for your family they loved you so much !! Love Destiny

Rest in Peace Sir. He was my commanding officer at MIO St. Ignace, MI 75-77. He was a great man and Coast Guardsman, with a beautiful family.
