Passed away peacefully after a brief illness at the age of 72. Beloved wife of 47 years to John A. Kane; loving mother of Alyssa Kane and John M. (Julie) Kane; cherished grandmother of Isaac and Spencer; dearest sister of Deborah Whitley and James Chimber; also survived by nieces, nephews, and many cousins. The family will be present Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 5-7 PM at the (Orchard Park Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 6170 W. Quaker Rd. (Rt. 20A). Funeral Services held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Buffalo, Inc., 225 Como Park Blvd., Cheektowaga, NY 14227. Share condolences at www.AMIGONE.com.

I am so sorry for your loss. It was clear that you all were the most important part of her life. She found her perfect partner in John, great love in being a mother to Alyssa and John and absolute joy in being a grandmother. I´ve always like the sentiment that my Jewish friends share at a time like this "My her memory be a blessing".

I just found out of Darlene's unexpected passing. She recently retired & I looked 4 ward that I may cross paths or see her in the office visiting friends. I have her address & looked 4 ward 2 sending her a card during the holidays. She was 2 young 2 go. I've known her through the years at Lawley over 20 years ago, she moved 2 Florida & recently moved back & was here in the office. It was great seeing her (again).
My thoughts/prayers r 4 her family & friends during this time. My guess is she is needed in the heavens above 2 join & become a member of a new family like she did here. Thank u Darlene 4 your smiling face & light, funny chit chats. U will be missed. I will always remember u. :)
