Darlene KUHN Obituary
(nee Mohr)
June 27, 2022. Devoted wife of 41 years to Joseph I. Kuhn; beloved mother of Heather (fiancé Jeremy Oda) Kuhn, Joseph Kuhn and Megan (fiance Salim Roman) Kuhn; devoted "Nana" to Violet Roman and Scarlet Roman; dearest daughter of Marilyn (nee Ricketts) and the late Donald Mohr; sister of David (Mary Ann) Mohr, Kim Gentile and Sandy (Bernie) Perillo; goddaughter of Jay (Kathy) Ricketts and Cherilyn Eckley; daughter-in-law of Frank and Rose Kuhn; also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Dee was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She was a lifelong educator and teacher who helped to raise many young children. As an interior designer, Dee brought beauty and grace to many homes through her creative spirit. In addition to interior design and teaching, she loved to spend time in her garden and reading. In lieu of flowers, donations in Darlene's memory may be made to the John R. Oishei Children's Hospital or please donate a book to the Buffalo Public Library System. The family will be present Saturday, July 2nd from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the (Tonawanda Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2600 Sheridan Drive (corner Parker Blvd.) where a closing prayer will offered at 8 PM. When I heard of Dee´s passing, I was home and looked around my house. I first met Dee about 8 or 9 years ago when I hired her to create window treatments for my home. Over the years since we first met, she has worked on almost every window in my home. Everywhere I look in my home I see a memory of Dee (sometimes with Joe) measuring, showing fabric samples, and even helping with installation. Those memories are firmly rooted in my home and like a strong oak tree, memories of Dee´s earthly existence are also firmly rooted here, in and on the earth where we as friends or family or loved ones walk about remembering Dee. And like the oak tree that reaches ever skyward seeking the light, so too does that bright and shining soul that belongs to Dee. Her soul, her energy, and her spirit will continue to mingle with all those who have come before and to await those who will someday join her. God bless you Dee.

My deepest condolences to family and friends. I am Gwen McKenna's lifelong friend and she has shared her love of Dee with me. Just knowing how much she meant to Gwen, she must have been a superior soul. I am so very sorry.

Thinking of the old days brings memories of School 82 and Hazelwood Avenue; Darlene was both a classmate and neighbor. She was always friendly and kind. I was fortnute enough to have spoken to her again in recent years. We lost a good kid from a nice family. My condolences to the Mohrs.

My deepest sympathy for your loss of Dee. I have many fond memories of her as a girl growing up on Hazelwood Avenue. She always had spunk and I see that she grew up to be a beautiful person. I wish that I could have known her throughout the years. I hope the memories of her will always bring your families peace and joy.
