Aunt Joyce, Mary, Jenna (Jennifer), David and Bobby (Bob); I am sorry I could not be with you during this difficult time. Uncle Dave was such a big part of my life growing up, always smiling, telling a joke, creating laughter, giving a bear hug....and most of all, being such a loving, kind presence thoughtout my childhood and into adulthood. I remember my Dad planning the Alleghany trips with Uncle Dave, and the great "pre-Cana" gatherings that often became very loud around our kitchen table.....and then remember hearing the stories (only some that could be shared, I imagine) when the men returned home. He will be greatly missed and I feel grateful to have had him in my life.

Dear Joyce and Family,
what great memories of Dave I have! From Allegheny stories my Father told to all those dental trips..... including, undergoing oral surgery with Dave when I was around 9 years old, I'll never forget that....very scary but, with that kind guidance from Dave it was no problem.
My daughter Anna will always remember her emergency extraction from a few years ago (pic)!!
Such an amazing guy! You are in our thoughts and prayers!

To the Jauch family,
I'm so sorry to hear of Dr. David's passing. We were first neighbors decades ago (I was so little that I barely remember!) but he has been my dentist since I've had teeth. Every time I was in the chair, he would tell me an old neighborhood story. I'm so glad to have known him and you are all in my thoughts.

Aunt Joyce, cousins Mary, Jenna, Dave and Bobby,
So sorry to hear the news this weekend about Uncle Dave. He is a respected doctor, husband, father, uncle, neighbor and friend to so many. His brio and love of life were enviable traits. I will treasure the memories of being at his office as a patient as well as hearing his laughter in Gramma's basement with his brothers. There is not any known (to me) nepenthe to ease your family's heartache. Time is the only constant and as it passes the ache will subside. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
With Deepest Sympathy, Curt & Paula Shanahan and family.
