Beloved husband of Kathleen (nee Ludwig) Schmidt. Loving father of Kara (Michael) Verseckes, Julie (Carl) Larson, Kyle (Kara Buchheit) Schmidt and Jessica (Corey) Reasinger. Loving Papa of Zoe, Brendan, Miles, Pepper, Maeva, Jude and Griffin. Loving brother of the late Dale Schmidt (Darlene). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 4-8 p.m. at The Dietrich Funeral Home, 2480 Kensington Ave., Amherst NY 14226. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 25, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. at Christ the King Church, 30 Lamarck Dr. Amherst, NY 14226, please assemble at the church.
