scrubby is BUFFALO polka music. CANADAS connection to SCRUBBY will ALWAYS be remembered. fun times with SCRUBBY when he was OFF STAGE. on stage, off stage he was ALWAYS FUNNY. i met SCRUBBY back in the late 70s and i had a friend from BUFFALO for life. too short of a life. wish he was here for a couple more decades at least. Jen and family, I will always remember the showmanship and talent Scrubby had. I considered him "the golden voice of Buffalo". he brought great joy and fun everywhere he played. I enjoyed the times he played in Erie. Now my parents will be dancing to him again in heaven.

Dear Gert, Jen, Ron & family,
I just now heard of David's passing, and I feel like I have been hit in the stomach with a cannonball. I will cherish the wonderful memories with the Dynatones when I lived in Buffalo. Please know that your family is in my thoughts and prayers as you mourn. The Polka world lost an icon, but you lost a son, brother & uncle. A small consolation is that Scrubby's music and voice will be his legacy and live on through generations.

You were the true original, Scrubby. There was no other artist like you, nor will there ever be one. You were the entire package....great musicianship, distinctive voice, and always highly entertaining. We were always wondering what you would come out with next! As the Classix, we were very honored to be able to back you up on some songs at the IPA festival the year you were inducted in the polka hall of fame......terrific memories forever!
