Martin, Dennis M.

Of Lackawanna. Entered in rest on September 11, 2025. Dennis was born to Raymond and Clara Martin in Buffalo, New York, on March 5, 1945. He was a graduate of Cheektowaga Central High School and worked for Goodwill of Western New York for 33 years. Dennis was a super fan of the Bills, the Sabres, and the Bisons, and had a vast knowledge of sports history and lore. He was the cherished husband of the late Mary Ellen (McGarry) Martin. He was preceded in death by his dear parents, his brother, Raymond Martin II, and his brother-in-law, Michael Patrick McGarry. He is survived by sisters-in-law Anne McGarry (Mickey) Slind and Margaret Hickey (Peg) McGarry, and by brother-in-law, Marvin G. Slind. "Uncle Dennis" was beloved by his nieces and nephews and will be remembered fondly by them and their families. He will be missed by the many caregivers who provided for him during his years of residency in his Our Lady of Victory home. The family is grateful for their kindness. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a mass of Christian Burial on Saturday October 11th at 9:00 am at Our Lady of Victory Basilica, 767 Ridge Rd. Lackawanna, NY Interment to follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Victory Basilica. Please share online condolences at www.lesterwedekindtfuenralhome.com
