Of Hamburg, NY passed peacefully on August 21, 2025 surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Kay McNaney; Loving father of Lisa Sabers and Kelly Gardner; Cherished grandfather of Alyssa and Nolan Gardner; Caring brother of Maureen (late Peter) Reed and the late Clement (late Prudence) McNaney; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Longtime owner of Red Top Hot Dogs in Hamburg, NY. Family and friends will be received Wed. 9/3, 3-7 PM at LAKESIDE MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 4199 Lake Shore Rd., Hamburg, NY 14075, 716-627-2919. A Celebration of Life will be held Thurs. 9/4, 4-7 PM at Red Top Hot Dogs. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to Hospice Buffalo. Although the food at the Red Top was always great what I always looked forward to more was the great conversations about sailing, Sarasota and just life with Dennis. Just a tremendous guy! We´ve lost such a special person and I´m proud to say friend of mine and many others. God bless him and his family.

I am so sorry to hear this news. Dennis always had a smile and a wonderful disposition. The Red Top has been in my family going back 60 years, easy. Was just there in May when I returned to Hamburg for a visit and as always was not disappointed. We will miss Dennis but will continue to drop by when in town.

A great friend and sailor. We captured the winds and explored new destinations as we sailed south, and raced locally.
A man committed to family and is business, Denis loved his community. He always was ready to shake a hand and tell a story.
We will miss you Captain Dennis.

What a nice picture@ when you saw Dennis, Ksy was right there too. A happy place for lunch when at BSCO then for yrs after. Dennis you were a cordial, quiet business owner and always good to see you and Kay. Now, time to reap the beauty of perfection as you dwell in the Lord's house. Sadly missed, still loved and remembered.
