Nancy, I am very sorry to hear of your loss...I have many fond memories of your dad bringing home the fish from his little boat in Canada. I am a general surgeon now too and I fish from my little boat. Your dad (and mom) were such gracious hosts. You and your family are in our thoughts

Your father was so wonderful to all the kids in the neighborhood back when everyone was growing up. He was the one the boys wanted to emulate.

I remember Don would spend hours and days doing chores my own father would make us do. I asked him once why he did it. His answer was so that the kids could relax and enjoy themselves with the short time the summer provides. What a wonderful outlook on life he had. The pleasure of others before his own.

That's the guy he was. He was wonderful with a smile or a short talk about the news of the family or the neighborhood doings. My most memorable moments of him are...that little boat...the rod...and the fish.

He was a fixture in my life...his words and spirit were always infectious.

I am so very sorry for your loss today.

I'm so sorry of your loss. It's so comforting to know that our heavenly Father has promised to undo the terrible pain we feel when we lose someone we love so much."...and he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be NO MORE, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." - Revelation 21:4
