Donald WESP Obituary

WESP, Donald

October 3, 1935 - September 23, 2023

Donald Wesp, 87, of North Boston, NY, crossed the rainbow bridge to reunite with members of his family, friends and cherished pets. Beloved husband of Caren A. Wesp (née Jacobs) for 64 years; loving father of Collene Walter (Lindsey) and Diane Wesp; grandfather of Nicolai, Donald and Cathelene Sartori; dear brother of Barbara Kruska, William Wesp and sister-in-law Gail Dietzer. Don was born and raised in North Boston to his mother, the late Emilie Wesp (nee Keller), and his father, the late Arnold Wesp. He is predeceased by his sister Eula Wesp. Don has always lived in North Boston where he has life-long friends. After getting his start working for Fairbanks Morse, he spent the majority of his career constructing security systems with Mosler Safe Co. and Brown Security Designs where he regarded many of his co-workers and clients as long term friends. An avid gardener, he was tending to his tomatoes and mixing hummingbird syrup throughout the summer. Don's family appreciated the empathy and support shown by his family and friends who reached out during his illness, and for the care he received at Eden Rehab & Nursing. A Memorial Service will be held at S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church on Oct 7th at noon, with internment at S.S. Peter and Paul Cemetery immediately following. Arrangements have been entrusted to Loomis, Offers and Loomis Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made in Don's name to the SPCA Serving Erie County.
