Donna Hettinger Obituary

Hettinger, Donna L.

(nee Gilbraith)

Mar 20, 1951 - Jul 11, 2025

Of Tonawanda, N.Y., passed away peacefully on July 11, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on March 20, 1951, in Buffalo, NY, Donna lived a life rooted in dedication, compassion, and love for her family and animals. In the 1970s, she proudly served as a Buffalo Jill and later as a member of the Erie County Sheriff's Department, where her strong sense of service and community made a lasting impact. Donna was the loving mother of Patricia (Darryl) Stelter and Leah Hettinger; cherished grandmother of Michael Stelter and Vaida Hettinger; and adored great-grandmother of Maddalyn and Lukas Stelter. Her deep love for animals was evident throughout her life, and she faithfully supported the ASPCA for many years. In accordance with her wishes, a private service will be held for immediate family only. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Donna's memory to the ASPCA, honoring her lifelong dedication to the care and protection of animals.
