Of South Buffalo, NY. Beloved husband of Kathleen A. (Lippert) Pitz; dearest father of Lisa Pitz (Rich Croland) and Christine Pitz Cleary; adored Da of Maeve Kathleen Cleary; loving son of the late Charles J. and Anna C. (Hearn) Pitz; brother of Catherine (late Donald) Geary, Charles (late Nancy) Pitz and the late James (late Rose) Pitz; brother-in-law of Patricia (Michael) Griffin and the late Maureen (Frank) Rago and Henry (Dorothy) Lippert; also survived by a host of beloved nieces, nephews and friends. Family and friends will be present Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 3-6 PM for a Celebration of Life Gathering at the CASTIGLIA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 873 Abbott Rd., South Buffalo, NY, 824-6435. Ed was a 1964 graduate of Bishop Timon High School. Ed retired from the Buffalo Fire Department as a Lieutenant after 35 years of service and was a lifelong member of IBEW Local #41. He started his own electrical contracting business as Deltex Electric, Inc. Ed was active in youth sports as Head Football Coach for the South Buffalo Shamrocks and the Nichols School. My most sincere sympathies to the Pitz Family. I knew Ed through our membership in IBEW Local Union #41. He will be remembered as a good electrician and a good citizen. May he rest in peace.
