Of Derby, NY, January 28, 2023, at age 99. Beloved husband of Clara (nee Janiak) Swain. Loving son of the late Vincent and Sarah Swain. Devoted father of Patrick (Donna) Swain. Adored grandfather of Karen Dobmeier, Michael (Becca) Swain and the late Carl Swain. Great-grandfather of Melissa Dobmeier. Dear brother of Naomi (late Gordon) Senear and predeceased by 2 brothers. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Mr. Swain was a World War II Veteran serving in the Army Air Force. He retired as a Lieutenant from the Buffalo Police Department. Friends may call Friday 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Lester H. Wedekindt, Inc., Funeral Home, 3290 Delaware Ave., Kenmore, NY 14217 where a funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 o'clock.
