My "Dearest Gene." They say to save the best for last, but there's nothing best about having to say our goodbyes. You & I knew each other for 57 years, & for the most part, 37 of them years we spent together. At some point though, we eventially went our separate ways, but something just kept pulling us back together. We had never really lost the love we had for each other, only we then loved each other in different ways. I am really grateful to have been able to share so many of them wonderful years together with you. We were together right until the end, "Till death do us part." Through them years, you gave me, a WONDERFUL daughter; Our daughter - Our "Little LeAnne" - "Your LJ", & I carry in my heart, so very many cherished memories of the 3 of us. Our "Little LeAnne" is what will keep me going, and also keep the memories of you going; her making more memories to carry on. You will ALWAYS be in our hearts Gene, as you were such a great inspiration & joy to our lives. Even though LeAnne is unable to speak on behalf of herself right now, I'm sure she wants you to know what a great, wonderful, loving, daddy you were to her. You were her everything & she's going to miss you tremendously. I'll see to it though that she doesn't touch the hose. He-He! One of her fondest memories of you is when you & her would sing & dance around the coffee table, while playing the song, "Let's bake a cake - La -Tee - Da, La - Tee - Da, La - Tee - Da!" You & her did that right up until you departed. You both talked & laughed about that when she last saw you, her not knowing that would be the last time she'd see you again, until you meet again in Heaven. I also have many special memories of you, one being your little jog you did a few days before you departed, while telling me that your not old or lame, & that you could still jog. The other is, a few days before you did your goodbye, is how we sat on the couch, laughing and playing with the animated, howling dog. We also talked, we made amends in reference to the past, & we also laughed & joked around. You became very compassionate towards everything & everyone, a side of you I had never seen before, & a side of you I will never forget!! Gene, there are just so very many memories of you that will forever be in my heart. You were my former spouse, but became my best friend. You will be, & are, greatly missed by many people. You were not only a big part of my life & LJ's, but also a big part of many others lives. So now it's time for me & LJ to say our goodbyes, until someday we meet again in Heaven. We will ALWAYS love & we will NEVER forget you Gene!!
Always in our Hearts, Love RobbieAnn & "Your Little LJ."
