To Florence's family....I started work with the NYS Job Service back in 1974 with Florence. She was a lady always with a smile and a story. She always talked about her middle initial being a "U". Funny the things we remember....one of her best bits of advise when I first stated....was always have a piece of paper in your hands and look busy. I still work for the Dept. of Labor and continue to follow her advice!
We hooked up again just a few years ago when I would see her and Eddie at Moon Chinese Buffet on Sheridan Drive. She hadn't changed a bit since I had last seen her many years ago. She whispered in my ear how old she was and I couldn't believe it! She looked wonderful and so did Eddie. I was also sorry to see that he passed away just a short time ago. In our work days, she always talked about Eddie and then finally I did get to meet him. They were really some couple and I am truly saddened that they passed, but I guess they wanted to be together. I just found a picture of me and Florence that Eddie took of us in front of the chinese buffet. Please accept my sympathy and believe me, your mom talked about her family so much and was so proud of all of you. I still remember all of that, and I really felt that I knew each of you just by her stories. She was one fine lady!
They both were such a lively and health looking couple that their passing was truly surprising, but we have not seen them for about 3 years. Peace and joy in all your memories.
