March 22, 2023; RUSTOWICZ - Florian (Lou) E. Passed away peacefully in his sleep with his loving family by his side at the age of 93. He had a dry sense of humor and a love for photography and trains. Lou is predeceased by his wife Shirley (nee Bartlemes), his parents, Peter and Josephine (Staniszewski) Rustowicz, and many Aunts and Uncles. He is survived by his children: Cheryl (Greg) Pratt, Darlene (John) DiMarco, Gary Rustowicz, Holly (John) Wasik, Colleen (Stephen) Kay and Joy (Todd) McCormack; his grandchildren: Amanda and Johnny DiMarco, Robert and Preston Pratt, Trey Kay, Brianna Wasik, Madelyn, and Liam McCormack; his brother Eddie (late Mary) Rustowicz; his sister Sister Mary Louis Rustowicz, CSSF, and many nieces and nephews. In his teenage years, Lou worked as a radio technician and went into the Army Signal Corp. and served in communications during the Korean War. After leaving the military he joined the IBEW Local 41, where he worked as a Master Electrician for 44 years in the city of Buffalo. He was a 67 yr member of the IBEW. He served as President of Kaisertown Coalition. Lou was also a long-time member of the Buffalo Museum of Science. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and going for coffee with his retired buddies. Family and friends will be received at Buszka Funeral Home, 2085 Union Rd, West Seneca, NY 14224 on Monday, March 27 from 4-8 pm. Please assemble at St. Gabriel's Church 5271 Clinton St, in Elma, NY on Tuesday, March 28, at 9 AM to celebrate Lou's Funeral Mass. Interment will be at a later date at Mount View Cemetery, Town of Cambria, 3064 Upper Mountain Rd., Sanborn, NY 14132
